About the Author

Born to a young mother and father that were barely legal adults themselves in the rural parts of Eastern NC, I had a pretty decent upbringing considering the circumstances. Yes there was times when we struggled, especially after my parents divorced, but for the most part I have always had everything I have needed. It may have been generic, store brand, or bought with paper food-stamps, but we always had food, clothes, and shelter. For this I consider myself lucky, and I am eternally grateful to my family for raising me the way they have.
Spent six months in Job Corps learning welding and enlisted in the Navy. The structure of job corps prepared me well for the military, but I still managed to screw that up and develop a drug habit. They say hind-sights 20/20, but I later realized it was because of my untreated neuro divergence.
Now that I've hit the crest of the hill and I'm officially middle aged I will be documenting my "midlife crisis" here. I will be journeying to, thru, and around my hometown, home state, and maybe even the entire USA if things go well.
